With the holiday season quickly approaching, there is a little mischief creeping into the kitchen. As many families begin to receive visits from the holiday elf, that Elf on the Shelf is bringing a special gift this holiday season. The Official Cereal of the North Pole is coming to shelves and the new Kellogg’s snow cereal is full of magic.

Cereal is always a popular choice. Beyond the breakfast table, that bowl can bring smiles all around. Whether it is a seasonal offering, sweet spoonful or something else, it is a bowl full of happy.

Recently, the cereal bowl has been transforming in many ways. While that cereal milk might be that extra touch of sweetness, some offerings have added a special surprise. The color changing aspect has many people making a special purchase just for that little extra magic.

With the new Kellogg’s snow cereal, part of the Elf on the Shelf line, the iconic brand has become the first offering to create an icy cereal. Yes, the cereal brings an icy chill as it is eaten.

According to Sadie Garcia, director of brand marketing at Kellogg Company, “The Elf on the Shelf and Scout Elves have joined our families and hearts as a beloved holiday tradition, igniting creativity and sparking holiday joy for the entire season. With this new cooling cereal, we’ve dreamt up one more way families can bring the wonder of the season home, this time with a cereal that’s just as delicious as it is magical.”

The Kellogg’s snow cereal features frosted star pieces and mini marshmallows. The flavor is said to mimic vanilla ice cream.

While color changing cereal has been done, this “icy” cereal is said to offer “slow-release flavor” which is suggested to mimic “a bite out of a fresh made snowball.” Unlike real snow balls, this cereal can be eaten with your eyes closed.

The new snow cereal joins the other Elf on the Shelf cereal flavors, which include Elf on the Shelf Hot Cocoa and Sugar Cookie cereals. The seasonal offerings will arrive in stores starting in October. Prices may vary. The new Kellogg’s snow cereal is a Walmart exclusive.
