As Burger King has decreed that “You Rule” at BK, the popular quick service restaurant might be evolving that sentiment for the spooky season. Instead of a table for one, this Halloween season there could be an extra guest enjoying that flamed grilled burger. Is the Ghost Pepper Whopper heat causing people to see an apparition?

Recently, Burger King is putting the focus back on its Whopper. As part of the “Reclaim the Flame,” the iconic BK burger is front and center in its branding. While there are plenty of ways to enjoy that burger, the Halloween offering could have a few people shuddering. It could be the heat, or it could be a feeling that no one is alone.

For those unfamiliar, the Ghost Pepper Whopper features the classic flame-grilled beef patty, spicy queso, jalapenos, bacon and ghost pepper cheese. While the bun gets an orange and black color upgrade, it is the bold heat that could have some people seeing red.

To be fair, the BK burger is spicy, but it is manageable. Given that the ghost pepper is in the cheese, the heat is tempered, a little. Remember dairy can help to tame the flame.

Now that the Ghost Pepper Whopper is available, Royal Perks Members have a little treat waiting on the app. Check out this video.

Putting aside whether or not people believe in ghosts, spirits or apparitions, this Whopper deal is far from spooky. Even if someone does not have paranormal activity in their house, it might be nice to share a meal with someone. Based on the Burger King video, it could be the calm in the middle of the chaos.

While some quick service restaurants turn to fun Halloween promotions, Burger King seems to appeal to an older audience. It might not be those scary meals from some theme parks, but this idea is not for the faint of heart.
