While many people talk about stuffing, cranberries, or even mashed potatoes, one side dish may not hold the excitement when it is presented at the table. Earlier this year Tariq, aka Corn Kid, showed everyone that corn should be a star. This holiday, Green Giant is putting the sometimes forgotten Thanksgiving side dish in the center of the table.

Many people have certain Thanksgiving food traditions. It is more than people just taking about if there are more sides than turkey on a plate or should a sweet potatoes be served with marshmallows. The holiday seems to get people passionate about food.

Earlier this year, Tariq, Corn Kid, got everyone talking because his love of corn was genuine. That simple pleasure of eating an ear of corn was clear. In some ways, that enthusiasm had many people thinking differently about the various types of food that they enjoy. In way, it was time to rediscover the humble corn and how it can taste really good.

This Thanksgiving, Green Giant is partnering with Corn Kid. In addition to sharing two recipes, Corn Kid’s Corniest Mac ‘n’ Cheese and Corn Kid’s Corn Casserole, the collaboration will celebrate giving back this season. Green Giant will donate “90,000 cans of Green Giant veggies, including 50,000 cans of corn, is enough for more than 270,000 of Corn Kid’s fellow New Yorkers to enjoy a serving of veggies this holiday season.”

As Kristen Thompson, Senior Vice President & President, Frozen & Vegetables, B&G Foods said, “We are very excited to partner with Corn Kid this Thanksgiving as his enthusiasm for corn rivals that of the Green Giant himself. Corn Kid has a giant heart and we are thrilled to help him share his love of corn with his community this Thanksgiving with an enormous donation of our canned veggies.”
