Hellmann’s spreads a flavorful upgrade for some classic holiday treats
While many people have a jar of Hellmann’s mayonnaise always withing reach, that classic condiment is more than just a spread on a sandwich or a luscious ingredient for a spectacular sauce. Just like many pantry staples are being transformed with creativity, Hellmann’s is twisting the jar in new ways. Ready to shake up some classic holiday treats with a little extra tanginess?
As many bakers appreciate, mayonnaise can be the secret ingredient in various recipes. From that infamous Portillo’s chocolate cake to just boosting a boxed cake mix, there are plenty of ways to use that condiment.
In addition, various savory recipes have showcased mayonnaise. From a coating on fish to a perfect grilled cheese sandwich, many people have long believed in its cooking usefulness.
This year, Hellmann’s partnered with expert mixology Cody Goldstein of Muddling Memories to shake up some new uses for that crafty mayo. In his new limited edition holiday cocktail, the Hellmann’s is the secret ingredient. This concept might shake up a few comments from the peanut gallery.
Before everyone scoffs at this cocktail ingredient, it is not too far from other items in the shaker. Milk, cream, and even egg whites add a luscious quality to a beverage. As long as the cocktail is well-shaken or blended, no one might even know that mayonnaise brings that signature tanginess to the sip.
