What holiday treats did The Original Donut Shop and Milk Bar create?

To kick off the final month of the year, The Original Donut Shop and Milk Bar have collaborated on several special holiday treats. Speaking to one of the special creations, Christina Tosi, Award Winning Chef and Founder of Milk Bar, said, “At Milk Bar, we like to flip the script, encouraging you to see things a little differently, creating new traditions and favorites. When it came to coffee we asked, why is it the cookie that always gets dunked into the coffee and not the other way around?

The special offering, Cup o’ Cookie is described as a “treat is served in a cup wrapped with a chocolate chip-pretzel-potato chip studded cake around an inner core of creamy vanilla custard, topped with Compost Cookie Crunchies, and served with a pourable sidekick of the flavorful coffee.” The treat was inspired by The Original Donut Shop Coffee Regular Medium Roast and can be purchased at both the New York and Los Angeles Milk Bar locations.

While those locations can enjoy this magical creation, everyone deserves their own holiday sweetness from their own kitchen. In addition, the pair shared three at-home recipes. The recipes are Peppermint Bark Cups, Coconut Mocha Granola Bars and Red Velvet Shortbread Sticks. Available both on the Milk Bar and Keurig websites, the recipes are inspired by three coffees, Peppermint Bark, Coconut + Mocha Duos, and 1 Step Red Velvet Latte.

Whether home bakers make one of these recipes or are inspired to create their own sweet treat, the sweet sentiment behind this collaboration is clear. Favorite flavors are not just limited to the coffee cup or the plate. When two favorite flavors come together in harmony, it is a taste that hits all the right notes.
