New Special K cereals fill the bowl with flavorful food moods
While some people eat to boost their mood and others pick foods because of a particular feeling, the “why” behind the decision is just as important as the choice. With these new Special K cereals, all the food moods can be satisfied one spoonful at a time.
Picking a cereal changes over time. For some kids, it is about the character on the box or the prize inside. Others may pick because of the flavor and some people might decide a healthy eating option. No matter one reason, another underlying factor often influences that choice. A craving tends to be influenced by food moods.
From crunchy to smooth and from salty to sweet, that hunger for a particular flavor only is satisfied by enjoying that particular type of food. Grabbing a handful of nuts when a bunch of grapes just sounds better can leave a little empty note.
When it comes to cereal, a similar idea applies. Whether it is starting the day with a bowl and a beverage or grabbing an easy dinner, cereal is not one size fits all. Special K has long understood that thought. From a different flavor for every day of the week to packing extra flavor into the bowl, there is an option for every and any occasion.
Speaking to the new Special K cereals, Sadie Garcia, Brand Director at Kellogg Company said, “We know Special K fans trust us to deliver delicious food packed with flavor. We also know food moods are constantly changing, so we are thrilled to bring even more variety to the Special K line-up that’ll meet whatever cravings or needs we all have. With tasty new benefits like top-notch crunchy texture, our first-ever zero grams sugar cereal and our highest protein offering yet, you’re sure to find something to satisfy your every need – and then some!”
What are the new Special K cereals coming to store shelves?
The three new Special K cereals coming to retailers are Kellogg’s Special K Oat Crunch Honey, Kellogg’s Special K High Protein and Kellogg’s Special K Zero. Each offering addresses a particular audience. Whether consumers choose a box based on a healthy eating lifestyle, craving, or something else, there is no excuse for saying there is nothing to eat.
The Kellogg’s Special K Oat Crunch Honey brings together multigrain honey-flavored flakes and crispy vanilla-oat clusters. The combination of textures and flavors leads to eating satisfaction. It could be the bright, sweet way to start the day.
The other two new Special K cereals focus on particular food lifestyle choices. The High Protein has 20g of protein per serving. The combination of chocolate and almonds makes this cereal feel more like a treat.
The Special K Zero has 18 grams of plant-based protein. With only 2 net carbs, it is considered Keto friendly. While those characteristics can drive some purchases, the warm, satisfying cinnamon flavor in the cereal puffs might be the real discovery.
The new Special K cereals will hit store shelves in December. Check with local retailers for availability and pricing.
