While many people await that first bite of a Cadbury egg with its creamy, satisfying center, there is another annual tradition that brings smiles all around. After the hearts and flowers fade from other holidays, the Easter commercials with the Cadbury Clucking Bunny appear. This year, the 2023 Cadbury Bunny Tryouts will make the heart even fuller.

For the past five years, Cadbury has asked pet families to showcase their favorite animal family members. Over the years, the brand has highlighted a variety of species who have become that infamous bunny. Even on one occasion, it wasn’t even a mammal who donned the ears.

This year, the candy brand is asking rescue pet owners to share their stories. As many people can appreciate those heartwarming stories are as much about saving an animal as it is about bringing happiness to a person’s life.

According to Cam Bogie, Sr. Associate Brand Manager, Cadbury brand team. “Rescue pets bring so many smiles to people every day. To celebrate these pets for all they do, in addition to giving this special furry, scaley, or feathered pet a spot in the iconic Cadbury Clucking Bunny commercial, this year’s cash prize also includes an element that gives back to the organizations that support these special animals.”

To be clear, this year’s event includes any rescue pet. While some people might think of furry friends who give the best cuddles, there are all types of animals that can be rescued. Any and all of those bright spots in people’s lives can be submitted to the 2023 Cadbury Bunny Tryouts.

In addition to honoring special rescue pets, Cadbury is continuing its longstanding relationship with ASPCA. Through this year’s contest theme, the hope is to bring awareness to the many animals who need a loving home.
