IHOP brings back a fan favorite food offering on February 28
While many people applauded the return of the Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity menu item earlier this year, another fan favorite food offering is coming back. As part of the IHOP’s 65th anniversary celebration, IHOP’s National Pancake Day returns on February 28 and its time to dig into that short stack of pancakes.
For those unfamiliar, IHOP has celebrated National Pancake Day for 17 years. While the celebrations have varied, one thing remains the same. People cannot get enough of those buttermilk pancakes. Whether topped with just a touch of butter and syrup or swimming in the sweetness, there is nothing more satisfying than starting the day with that flavor.
According to Kieran Donahue, Chief Marketing Officer, IHOP, “IHOP’s National Pancake Day is a holiday we look forward to celebrating with our guests as an annual tradition, and we are spreading even more joy this year by adding the chance to earn loyalty rewards through our International Bank of Pancakes. At IHOP, we take pride in the quality of our fresh ingredients that guests crave all day, including our signature Buttermilk Pancakes and beyond.”
From 7 a.m. till 7 p.m. on February 28, IHOP will be offering dine-in guests a free Short Stack of its world-famous Buttermilk Pancakes. The offer is available at participating restaurants and can be redeemed once by guests.
In addition to the free food offer, IHOP will be boosting the balance in guests’ International Bank of Pancakes loyalty. Guests will receive two times the PanCoins on additional purchases on that day.
Given that many people are looking to maximize their food dollar spent, the return of this fan favorite food offering at IHOP is more than just a tradition. For some people, it could be the splurge for the week or the smile that makes a difficult time seem brighter. It might be a small gesture of a free short stack of pancakes, but for some people it is a huge positive.
