Another shake-up comes to Next Level Chef. Although some cooks have risen to the challenge, others have faltered periodically throughout the season. With teams eliminated and each cook having to prove their cooking skills, the pressure grows. The old saying about the heat and the kitchen might take a different turn. In this Next Level Chef Season 2 episode 8 exclusive clip, one cook might have torched Gordon Ramsay’s palate.

According to FOX, Next Level Chef Season 2 episode 8, “Going Global” features the following:

"The game has changed completely as the teams have been terminated and, moving forward, each will compete as their individual self. When the platform drops, each person will grab a box with a country’s flag on it but will not know what’s inside their box. Each will be tasked to make the country’s signature dish, but they won’t know what it is until the competition begins. One chef’s dreams will come to an end in the all-new “Going Global” episode of Next Level Chef airing Thursday, March 30 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX."

Based on this synopsis, the cooks better know their geography. If they pick a flag for a country, they know something about that country’s cuisine. Lack of knowledge is not an excuse for a poorly executed dish.

In this Next Level Chef Season 2 episode 8 exclusive clip, one cook made an error that might seal his fate. Would you want to scorch Gordon Ramsay’s palate?

As seen in the clip, Nuri aka Chef Stretch might have gone overboard with the bird’s eye chili. For those unfamiliar, bird’s eye chili, sometimes referred to as Thai chili, is a common ingredient in Southeast Asian cuisine, African cuisine, and some Caribbean dishes. Given that Nuri makes Pad Thai, it makes sense he would use some heat. Unfortunately, too much heat can make a dish inedible.

Even though Nuri might have been too bold with his ingredient choices, the other cooks need to be thoughtful with their dishes. Given that there is no team to hide behind, the cooks who have been skirting by might be up for elimination.

In contrast, it could be time for some people to shine. While there are two immunity pins remaining, it could impact the competition. Only time will tell if another twist or turn will keep a favorite cooking or send someone unexpected home.

Next Level Chef Season 2 episode 8 airs on FOX, Thursday, March 30 at 8 p.m. It can be streamed the next day on Hulu.
