Restaurant innovation comes in many forms. From new ingredients to flavor combinations, quick service restaurants are always looking for ways to entice guests to place another order. With the new White Castle Slider Lites, ordering a second crave case is totally permissible with this limited time only food item.

Many people know that White Castle is the first fast food restaurant. The simple idea of a slider made quickly and efficiently was at the heart of the brand’s idea. The brand found that five holes in that slider lead to more efficient cooking. Even though people think of the onions and bun as being essential to a White Castle Slider, it is really about those holes.

On April 1, White Castle is bringing another food innovation to the table. Instead of five holes, the quick service restaurant is opting for just one. It might be a little bigger, but that reason is why it is White Castle Slider Lites.

With all the same taste as an original slider, this version just goes from kitchen to consumer even more quickly. As Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle said, “We have been bringing new innovations to market for over a century. We really think one giant hole will revolutionize our cooking system. It might even become the preferred choice among our loyal Cravers who crave flavorful, low-calorie food.”

Looking at the special, limited time only White Castle Slider Lites, some people could see a similarity to those chicken rings. Maybe circle shaped food is the next big trend. Can’t anything be made into a circle. Why box people in with their food choices. Shape is just as important as flavor.

To be clear, White Castle Slider Lites are only an April 1 food item. If you go to a local restaurant asking for one, the staff might be unfamiliar with the very, very limited menu item. It might just be better to grab a regular Crave Case instead.
