Dunkin adds another coffee flavor to its permanent line and fans couldn’t be happier

Whether it is a regular person or Ben Affleck, many people’s day is not complete without a stop at Dunkin. Although seasonal favorites build anticipation for that first sip, the permanent line should never be overlooked. Now, Dunkin’s Butter Pecan Swirl coffee will be available whenever that craving hits.

Consumers are becoming more vocal with their favorite brands. Whether it is taking to social media or a Change.org petition, that passion is being noticed by companies. It is not just one lone voice shouting in the dark. It is a built-in customer base that needs to be satisfied.

With the Dunkin Butter Pecan Swirl coffee, many people counted down the days till it would reappear on that seasonal menu. Although it might not have the same fanfare as its fall counterpart, there is something about the rich, nutty flavor that brings smiles all around. It actually was the second most popular seasonal flavor behind pumpkin spice.

According to Jill McVicar Nelson, Dunkin’s Chief Marketing Officer, “On the 10-year anniversary of Butter Pecan Swirl’s debut, we knew it was time to make this adored flavor a core menu staple. The requests from guests and our Dunkin’ teammates to make this Swirl a regular offering are staggering. We’re thrilled to finally grant their wish, making this a permanent delight for Dunkin’ fans to savor all year long.”

Dunkin’s Butter Pecan Swirl returns officially on April 26 and will remain on the menu. It can be ordered hot or iced coffee, espresso drinks, cold brew, frozen coffee or frozen chocolate.

While this coffee announcement came with much fanfare, Dunkin hinted that there could be more Butter Pecan goodness coming in the future. While it appears that most of the coffee drinks are covered, maybe there could be a donut flavor coming for the late spring early summer.

An even more exciting offering would be a type of cinnamon roll. Expanding the Dunkin menu in that direction would be nice. While there is always a place for a dozen donuts, sometimes a warm cinnamon roll just hits the spot.

Or, what about transforming that Butter Pecan goodness into a sweet and savory offering. Given that Dunkin is continually expanding its savory breakfast offerings, it could be a fun way to think beyond the traditional food offerings. Sometimes thinking outside of the box is quite tasty.
