Pride celebrations do not have to fade when the calendar page turns
As June comes to a close, the vibrant advocacy showcased in various Pride celebrations does not have to become a faded memory. Even if the specialty menu items might not be front and center, there are ways to acknowledge that community any and every day.
This past year, supporting the LGBTQ+ community has become a bigger conversation topic. While some people have moved far away from middle ground, the reality is that communities are about diversity. What a person looks like, who they love, or how they present themselves is not going to change through peer pressure. Acceptance cannot be piecemeal.
Throughout June, many food brands have celebrated the LGBTQ+ community. For example, Skittles offered five limited-edition Pride packs. Available through July, each package is a visual representation of a Pride story. The QR directs people to more information about the artist.
For the fourth year, Skittles used its packaging to support LGBTQ+ communities. While it might be available for period of time, the support reaches far longer. The rainbow is always waiting to shine a light another part of the inclusive community.
Barefoot Wine is another brand that has been supportive of the LGBTQ+ community for almost 35 years. Through its Barefoot Bubbly Sweet Rosé Pride Edition, the vivacity is waiting to be poured. The sweet, sparkling wine is perfect for a celebration or turning any day into a reason to pop some bubbles.
Another brand, Sincere Cider, is a LGBTQIA+ owned hard cider. The balanced cider made with 100% clean ingredients has launched new flavors. Opening one of these hard ciders continues the Pride celebrations at any and every moment.
Continuing the beverage conversation, Chambord toasts the community through its specialty cocktails. Recently, it partnered with Karamo Brown to celebrate positivity and strong role models. While a Cocktail for a Cause was poured at select locations, there are several options that can shake up the celebration anywhere. Check out this margarita twist.
