According to the iconic food brand, the Krispy Kreme Chocolate Glazed doughnuts are returning for July 7 and 8. With World Chocolate Day being celebrated on July 7, it is the perfect excuse to bring back the fan favorite.

What a way to celebrate World Chocolate Day.”
When Krispy Kreme launched the chocolate glazed back in 2017, many people could not wait for that first taste. The combination of rich chocolate and the classic doughnut was an instant hit.
Although many people loved the combination, the chocolate glaze has not been seen often. It has only been on the menu sporadically. When it reappears, doughnut lovers tend to make a special trip to enjoy that rare taste.
Even though the classic Original Glazed is an iconic food offering, Krispy Kreme has added flavored glazes throughout the years. Fruit inspired offers filled Spring months in previous years. There have even been some caramel options. Still, the flavored glazes are not standard fare.
While there is much excitement for the return of the Krispy Kreme Chocolate Glazed doughnuts, it is interesting that the food brand does not leverage more glaze flavors. The robust list of specialty doughnuts and seasonal offerings showcase the brand’s culinary creativity. Although it seemed tedious to change that cascading glaze waterfall, there might be a calling for a fruit glaze, caramel glaze, or birthday cake offering. The possibilities are many.
For now, anyone who wants to satisfy that craving for Krispy Kreme Chocolate Glazed doughnuts should head to the store on July 7 and 8. Better grab a dozen or more because the chocolate goodness will not be reappearing anytime soon.
