The recent restaurant addition to Horseshoe Las Vegas, the new Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Sports Kitchen opened to much fanfare. While Guy Fieri brought the star power to the special event, the robust food menu had everyone cheering for the over-the-top offerings. Although power eaters might be able to handle multiple orders, these must have dishes deserve prime space on the table.

At a Guy Fieri restaurant, guests expect the dining experience to be bold, a little loud, and definitely full of big portions. Even though the celebrated chef, restaurateur, and entrepreneur has traveled the states highlighting some of the best Triple D restaurants, his signature menu items are worthy of food enthusiasts making a special trip to enjoy that flavor.

During the Caesars Entertainment special event, Fieri arrived in his signature red Camero to kick off the grand opening. After donning a Santo Tequila shot, the real reason for the gathering took center stage, enjoying the signature menu items.

Mixed into Fieri famous items, like Trash Can Nachos, the food menu plays on hearty burgers mixed with lighter fare and substantial main dishes. Featuring Fieri’s playful name descriptions, the tone is set. This restaurant is about enjoying the moment with friends and pushing away all the unnecessary noise.

Do not snooze on these must have dishes at the new Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Sports Kitchen

Lighter Fare: Watermelon Mezcal

While it might sound like a cocktail from Sammy Hagar’s Cocktail Hits, this salad features a Santo Mezquila infused watermelon, which is paired with tomato, cucumber, and arugula. For a little added crunch, the pepitas brittle is a like a little present in each bite. When combined with pickled watermelon and a touch of crumbled Cotija, it is a refreshing dish. For diners who are looking for a lighter dish, this one hits the jackpot.

Burgers: Do-Not Try This At Home Burger

Anyone who has had a long night in Vegas knows that a big, juicy burger can save the day. With this Fieri burger, it hits all the flavors. While it might require a fork and knife to eat it, the combination donkey sauce, spicy ketchup, beef burger and more satisfies. Just make sure to grab some extra napkins to avoid any spillage on your shirt.

Mains: Quesa-Birria Mexican Pizza

While some people are loyal to a particular Mexican Pizza, this version is far more elevated. Piled high with braised beef and other toppings, it is the cheese crust quesadilla and birria consomé that make this dish far different from that drive-thru option. Although this dish is meant for one person, others at the table might want to steal a piece.

Vegetarian: The Fun-Guy Sandwich

Every menu needs a vegetarian option and this one could convert some meat lovers. The earthy tempura beech mushroom contrasted with the spicy charred scallion aioli showcases that the vegetables can be the star of a hearty dish. Even with the Asian slaw for a touch of brightness, it could have some people leaning towards more vegetable forward options.

Dessert: The Big Brookie

While desserts might be a way for some restaurants to showcase their playful side, the new Guy Fieri Flavortown Sports Kitchen goes more old-school with its dessert. This classic skillet chocolate brownie cookie takes a back seat to the salted whiskey caramel. That sauce is definitely money.

The new Guy Fieri Flavortown Sports Kitchen is open at the Horseshoe Las Vegas. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reservations can be made online.
