When does Kitchen Nightmares return to FOX programming?

As the fall television season starts to take shape, unscripted shows will be ready to take over the airwaves. While FOX programming is full of Gordon Ramsay shows, a returning favorite is set to his the schedule. When does the new season of Kitchen Nightmares begin?

Over the years, the food television has evolved. If anyone had looked at Emeril Lagasse shouting “bam” and believed that culinary competitions, restaurant transformations, and food travel inspired escapes would fill the day, their insight might have been questioned. Even though social media quick video snippets might have people doomscrolling, the long form food television show continues to garner viewers.

One early entrant was Kitchen Nightmares. When Gordon Ramsay stepped into the failing restaurants, the unsettling discoveries had some people averting their eyes. Although few people want to see how the sausage is made, there is an understanding that any food from a kitchen should be safe to eat.

From 2007 through 2014, Kitchen Nightmares aired almost 100 episodes. While this version was before chefs being called donuts or forgetting that iconic lamb sauce, the glimpse into the restaurant world gone sideways captivated viewers.

Although Ramsay was an early entrant into this type of show, the concept has stayed on screens. Shows like Restaurant Impossible, Bar Rescue and even Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back have been food television concepts that sought to revitalize failing establishments.

Still, Kitchen Nightmares was, and still is, ready to dive into the truly disturbing issues that can happen in some restaurant settings. With Ramsay at the helm, he will not mince words in the situation. As seen in some preview videos, the stomach turning situations might be even too much for the seasoned restauranter.

Kitchen Nightmares returns to FOX on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 8 p.m. ET and it will be available to stream the next day on Hulu.
