For many people, movie night is not complete without a bowl of popcorn. With the new Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn Seasonings, sweet and savory flavors shake up the traditional snack. Ready to get popping?
Popcorn is a classic snack. While it is often found in the bowl, the flavor can be bland. Those popping kernels can benefit from a sprinkle of salt, seasoning, or other flavor boost. Although no one can mistake the aroma of freshly popped popcorn, it may not have the excitement of the pre-popped variety. With the new Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn Seasonings, popcorn will never be bland or boring again.
According to Spencer Fivelson, VP & GM of Snacks at Conagra Brands, “Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn Seasonings combine delicious, craveable flavors with a customizable experience. Ready-to-eat popcorn and other salty snacks have long offered a broad collection of flavors, but freshly popped popcorn has trailed behind. We’re excited to shake up the microwave and kernels category with our diverse assortment of sweet and savory seasonings.”
The Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn Seasonings come in six flavors, Buffalo Wild Wings Buffalo, Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll, Movie Theater Butter, Nacho Cheese and White Cheddar Cheese, and Ranch. Looking at the options, they cover both sweet and savory. While there is a nod to classic flavors, the Buffalo Wild Wings Buffalo brings an extra kick for people who want a non-traditional flavor option.
More importantly, the flavors allow everyone to customize the popcorn. From an extra sprinkle to ensure that ever kernel is covered to combining flavors, snack time can turn into a creative endeavor. For example, combining the Buffalo flavors with the Ranch mimics that classic dish. Or, why not divide the popcorn with half While Cheddar Cheese and half Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll for a nod to that Chicago Mix variety.
The Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn Seasonings will be available beginning in late August. The suggested retail price is $3.49 per container. The seasonings will be available in the popcorn aisle at various retailers.
Isn’t it time that popcorn gets an upgrade beyond a dash of salt? Ready to unleash flavor on those freshly popped kernels?
