Junior’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana cheesecake crowned the king of desserts

While some people might be enjoying a slice of New York cheesecake for National Cheesecake Day, a new flavor has been crowned king of desserts Junior’s Restaurant and Bakery has revealed its newest flavor, Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana cheescake joins the menu for a limited time.

For National Cheesecake Day, Junior’s announced its winner of the national flavor contest. While the dessert might be a nod to the king of rock n’ roll, the flavors are a winner for a wide array of people. The winning flavor was Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana.

Speaking to this winning dessert flavor, Alan Rosen, owner of Junior’s said, “Elvis had his numerous number one hits, and we have ours. So, I can’t think of a better way to celebrate National Cheesecake Day than by creating this new flavor to honor the King, himself. Because just as you ‘can’t help falling in love’ with Elvis, I know you won’t be able to resist this peanut butter chocolate banana cheesecake. My deepest congratulations goes to Mr. Zahorec for inspiring our 25th flavor.”

The winning flavor was submitted by Thomas Zahorec, from Greenville, South Carolina. While there were over 5.000 entries, this particular food offering hit all the right marks. From the richness of the chocolate to the slightly salty notes of the peanut butter to the density of the banana, it was a definite winner.

While Rosen, who submitted the winning flavor, received a big prize, everyone is a winner with this special cheesecake flavor. Now through Labor Day, the limited edition flavor will be available in Junior’s restaurants and can be delivered by mail order.
