As with any national food day celebration, many food brands go all in for the event. For those people who celebrate National Avocado Day, it might be time to enjoy that nutrient dense food morning, noon, and night.

From free food to creative promotions, national food day events come in all shapes and forms. In some ways, the celebration is meant to bring excitement to even a favorite ingredient. From a new dish to a different application, culinary creativity is on the plate.

To celebrate national avocado day 2023, Sprinkles and Avocados From Mexico have a sweet partnership. Starting today, the Sprinkles will be offering a special cupcake flavor.

The limited-edition Avocados From Mexico Chocolate Dulce De Leche Sprinkles cupcake is a banana cupcake with added pecans and a dulce de leche center. Topping the moist sponge is a cream cheese and avocado frosting. While the idea might turn heads, it is the creaminess of the frosting that will have people saying, why haven’t bakers used this combination before?

The special Avocados From Mexico Chocolate Dulce De Leche Sprinkles cupcake is available at Sprinkles now through August 6.

The idea of baking with avocados is not necessarily a new idea. From brownies to cakes, the creamy texture lends itself to baking. Also, it can be a good substitute for people who are looking for some healthy eating alternatives.

Although baking with avocados is sweet, others prefer that big bowl of guacamole. WHOLLY has partnered with Shawn Johnson to give away a year’s supply of WHOLLY products. More information can be found on the brand’s Instagram page.

If free food has people excited, Rubio’s will celebrate National Avocado Day but offering free chips and guacamole to all Rubio’s Rewards members. While the free food order does require an additional purchase, it can be redeemed online, via the app, or in restaurants.

For those unfamiliar with Rubio’s guacamole, it is made with Hass avocados. Combining cilantro, garlic, lime juice and sea salt, the guacamole is well balanced. When served with freshly made tortilla chips, it is quite tasty.

Of course, a National Avocado Day celebration and Chipotle is always a terrific pairing. On July 31, Chipotle Rewards members can get free guacamole. Simply use promo code AVO2023 at checkout. It can be ordered as a topping or a side.

Although being without avocados or guacamole can be the pits, Chipotle wants to give the “pits” a positive spin. Ready to tune in on Threads?
