While the FOX summer schedule is full of Gordon Ramsay shows, the new Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares poster builds excitement for the show’s triumphant return. After almost 10 years off the air, these failing restaurants are in desperate need of a makeover that only Gordon Ramsay can provide.

From Michelin Stars to millions of diners at his Hell’s Kitchen Las Vegas restaurant, Gordon Ramsay is the one of the world’s most successful restaurateurs. Even though food television fans might find some of his commentary on Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef, or Next Level Chef blunt, brusque, or gruff, the reality is that tough love can be necessary. Unfortunately, there are no niceties that can placate a failing business.

According to FOX, Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares returns to the line-up on Monday, September 25 at 8 p.m. ET. New episodes will be available to stream the next day. Each episode will feature Gordon Ramsay as he looks to revitalize failing restaurants.

Looking at the new poster, the phrase, “Get Your Shift Straight” (with a strategically placed Chef Gordon) is a classic play on words and a nod to some of the iconic Ramsay phrases. While this phrase might not necessarily be served in those Hell’s Kitchen cocktails, it might be the next one added. Witty banter is always at the heart of any Gordon Ramsay driven show.

More importantly, it emphasizes the direction of this restaurant makeover show. While there is a time and place for uplifting, supportive, or even a soft hand remarks, these restaurants need a swift kick in the pants. Front of the house and back of the house must work as an efficient team. The kitchen brigade needs to be a well-oiled machine. It is time to straighten up and fly right. If these restaurants cannot get their “shift straight,” it might be time to close their doors.

Of course, many people will look at the sensational moments in each episode. But, health code violations are not a laughing matter. A great dining experience can be a food fantasy come true, but it should never be a frightening nightmare at the table. Nor, should it be a recurring ordeal after leaving the establishment.

These restaurants have made the first, and better, decision to make the Ramsay 9-1-1 call. Are they willing to put in the effort to right their ways? It is time to get the shift straight and find a path to become a successful restaurant.

The new season of Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares premieres on Monday, September 25 at 8 p.m. ET and streams the next day on Hulu. From Studio Ramsay Global and FOX Alternative Entertainment, Kitchen Nightmares has Gordon Ramsay as executive producer and David De Angelis as executive producer and showrunner.
