Spice up that favorite rum cocktail with a flavorful mixer
Whether it is National Rum Day, a craving for a taste of the tropics, or just the love of rum, the better, flavorful mixer can make that favorite rum cocktail even better. Although the liquor might be a personal preference, the reality is that the other ingredients in that cocktail really matter. Isn’t it time to upgrade with a clean, crisp option that makes everything taste better? It is time to pour Q Mixers.
When Q Mixers was founded, it was based on a simple concept. When a quality liquor is poured, the mixer should be equally as good. No one wants a sugar bomb, syrupy taste to overpower the nuances of the liquor. As any mixologist can explain, a great cocktail is the sum of all of its parts.
With Q Mixers, the idea is to always focus on quality. Whether the cocktail is simple, like a gin and tonic, or tropical like a favorite rum cocktail, the reality is that people want to feel satisfied when toasting to the good life. No one wants to reach for another glass to wipe away that flavor.
Ahead of National Rum Day, Q Mixers shared their version of two classic cocktails. Both options feature a version of the Q Ginger Beer. The warm, spice with a hint of sweetness makes for these cocktails to be inviting. It is the little tingle from the ginger that awakens the palate. It invites slow sipping, like the easy days sitting by the beach on vacation.
Dark and Stormy
The classic cocktail might conjure an image of clouds gathering on the horizon, this cocktail is far from ominous. The simplicity makes it imperative to use the best ingredients, like the Q Ginger Beer. Whether the weather is bright and sunny or there might be a rainstorm coming, this cocktail is quite enjoyable.

- For a lighter but still delicious version, try our Light Ginger Beer
With a favorite rum cocktail, the tropical flavors often come to mind. The bold colors draw people to the glass, but it is the flavor that has them asking for a second round. While the rum choice can vary, it is about toasting the good life without a care in the world.
