The Coca-Cola Creations line has inspired drinkers to dream, pixelated the sipping satisfaction. and even blasted off to space. With the new Coca-Cola Y3000 Zero Sugar, a taste of the future has been captured in the can and it is a flavor that exceeds expectations.

People’s perception of the future can take different forms. Even though the Back to the Future hoverboard is not on the market and the Jetsons lifestyle might not be reality, some aspects of today’s life are not too far removed from those fictional depictions. Who doesn’t have some type of robot vacuum, smart appliance, or other connected device that makes their life easier?

With the new Coca-Cola Y3000 Zero Sugar, the flavor was created by both human and artificial intelligence from Coca-Cola. Although the taste is the driver for people to drink and drink again, capturing what the future could hold is a bigger conversation beyond the refreshment.

Speaking to the new beverage, Oana Vlad, Senior Director, Global Strategy at The Coca-Cola Company, said, “Our ambition for Coca-Cola Creations is to create unexpected and magical moments for our fans. Inspired by the timelessness of Coca-Cola, we want to celebrate everyone’s idea of what the future might look like. Before opening the can, the design has a fluidity to it. From the blend of pinks and blues to the line pattern, the visual sparks a sense of questioning, wonder, and possibilities. Never stagnant, it compels people to move and embrace the possibilities ahead. The underlying thought appears to be positive, a sentiment that has many people ready to move forward.

It is interesting that Coca-Cola chose to do only a zero-calorie beverage for its futuristic offering. Maybe that decision is a telling one. Beverage trends might embrace less caloric options in the year 3000.

While everyone will have to open a can to enjoy the taste for themselves, the varying opinions might want to heed to that positivity vibe. Whether it is a sip that pushes boundaries or something a little more familiar remains to be seen. No matter the flavor, there is something worth exploring in this conversation.

In addition to the beverage, the Coca-Cola Y3000 Zero Sugar has a Creations Hub where people can get a glimpse into what may happen. While the experience might be a little unexpected, it is exciting.
