Coca-Cola, Jonas Brothers, and Marshmello transport the Sphere into the future
Whether viewed from the Strip or an image on the screen, people are captivated by the Las Vegas Sphere. While the technologically advanced space feels futuristic, it is taking a bigger step into the future, Destination Y3000, with the help of Coca-Cola, Jonas Brothers, and Marshmello.
With the Coca-Cola Creations line, the beverage brand looks beyond the can for its drinking experience. From stepping into a pixelated world to daring to dream even bigger, the concept sparked a conversation beyond refreshment.
Now through November 13, the Sphere’s Exosphere will transport people into Destination Y3000. Although it does not require a trip on a rocket, a cranial implant, or otherwise altered state, the images look to capture an optimism regarding what the future holds.
While the visuals will evolve over the event, the idea is to celebrate a futuristic city that holds many possibilities. Blending nature and innovation, the idea is to embrace a sense of hopefulness.
Speaking to this special event, Oana Vlad, Senior Director, Global Strategy, The Coca‑Cola Company said, “For almost two years, Coca-Cola Creations has consistently embraced a digital-first approach, using the power of technology and innovation to connect with our fans across the world. When we launched Coca-Cola Y3000 Zero Sugar, we made it possible to explore the future through the lens of AI technology, and now we are bringing futuristic experiences to life in the physical world for fans to enjoy. We’re excited to launch ‘Destination Y3000,’ showcasing Coca-Cola’s commitment to providing imaginative and innovative new experiences for our fans.”
As part of this event, there will be a Jonas Brothers hologram. Fans might remember that the trio partnered with the beverage brand on the launch of the Y3000 Zero Sugar. Whether or not this idea is the future of fan experiences remains to be seen.
In addition, Marshmello will be dropping by the Sphere for this special event. Previously the mysterious artist collaborated with the beverage brand on his own offering. The unique performance might be a glimpse into how concerts will evolve in the future.
