2023 Big 10 Championship menu is the battle of the loaded dogs

While the Michigan Wolverines take on the Iowa Hawkeyes on the gridiron, the Sodexo Live! culinary team has their own food battle brewing. The 2023 Big 10 Championship menu features two loaded dogs. Will the best bite match the final game score?

The culinary team at Lucas Oil Stadium always delivers creative spins on classic game day fare. While some people might never stray from that pretzel and beverage, others want the over the top, photo sharing moment that will be talked about until next season.

With the 2023 Big 10 Championship menu, the culinary team, led by Executive Chef Jon Wanland, created the battle of the loaded dogs. Available at the Red Zone Grills, the Loaded Dogs are as follows:

• “The Wolverine” – Bleu Cheese Crumbles, Crispy Onions, Bacon, Bleu Cheese Dressing
• “The Hawkeye” – Fresh Pickled Elote with House Made Bacon Jam

While many people will choose the loaded dog based on team alliance, the flavors could have people asking for one of each. The Wolverine packs big flavor. For anyone who is a bleu cheese lover, they will be enthralled with this food choice. While the cheese is a dominant flavor, the addition of crispy onion adds some texture. Even though the bacon might not necessarily be needed, everything is better with bacon.

The Hawkeye has a bright, refreshing take. While the elote is a nice twist to the corn reference, the pickled component is a great riff on that traditional neon green relish. Plus, the bacon jam might be the condiment that could steal the whole show.

While the loaded dogs might be the most talked about 2023 Big 10 Championship menu items, those fans lucky enough to enjoy the Club level have even more themed food choices. A few must try items are the Black and Gold Dog, Smokey Coney House, and those always popular Loaded Baked Potatoes.

To help wash down all those delectable food options, two themed game day cocktails are available. The Golden Arm features Captain Morgan, triple sec topped with pineapple juice. Although this cocktail is slightly tropical, it goes down easy. For Michigan fans, the Defensive Blue, featuring Hennessy, blue curacao, sweet and sour topped with pineapple juice, is a little bolder in both color and flavor.

The 2023 Big 10 Championship menu is available during the game on December 2, 2023. Number 2 Michigan takes on number 18 Iowa at the Lucas Oil Stadium. Kickoff is at 8 p.m.
