One of the biggest food trends, PopUp Bagels is a different take on that iconic bagel and a schmear. While the brand has leveraged this pop culture moment with beer brands and other collaborations, it is taking its unique approach to the stunning sands of Rivera Maya. From December 15-17, a unique menu partnership comes to Etéreo, Auberge Resorts Collection and the food offering cannot be missed.

Food and travel go hand in hand. While many people immerse themselves in local cuisines, ingredients, and even cooking techniques, sometimes people want that hot, must have food item. Bringing a taste of home, in an innovative way, to the table can push a guest to book one resort over another.

Recently, Etéreo, Auberge Resorts Collection announced a limited time engagement with PopUp Bagels. The trending, unique bagel shop has taken over the food conversation. From collaborations with beer brands to this special offering, people cannot get enough of this food mashup. The “baquette-like” bagel has won awards and continually sells out.

During the special event, Etéreo’s culinary team has created various specialty food items that feature Popup Bagels’ signature recipe while infusing Mexican flavors. In particular, the Etéreo schmear is an exclusive offering that will be a highlight of the event.

While bagels and Mexican cuisine might not be the typical combination, it is testament to the two culinary teams that they created that food connection. Even though everything seasoning might be a classic, introducing some chilis can make for a bold statement. Or, why not showcase florals or vibrant citrus notes in unexpected ways. The chefs have many ways to blend traditional and innovative approaches on the plate.

This special PopUp Bagels event is one example of the Etéreo’s culinary team showcasing its creativity. Guests have a wide array of options to explore Mexican cuisine and flavor. From the history and culture associated with chilis to an introduction to Mexican wine and its emerging wine regions, there are many ways to experience local items during a stay.

Etéreo, Auberge Resorts Collection, is located in Riveria Maya, Mexico. More information on the resort, availability, and pricing can be found online.
