Exclusive: What’s Cookin' Good Lookin' brings a spicy beat to the kitchen
While an old school food television cooking show might have used “bam” to bring the flavor, What’s Cookin' Good Lookin' amplifies the spice, beats, and laughs in the kitchen. Hosted by comedians and rappers Justina Valentine and Conceited, this new series is definitely not your grandpa’s cooking show.
From Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat global entertainment company, the unscripted cooking series is far different from other options on the screen. While some celebrity chefs might cook for supremacy and others bake their way to greatness, this particular show is all about the approachability of cooking. With a little laughter, anyone hit a bold flavor note.
As hosts of the six-episode series, Justina Valentine and Conceited invite their guests to take on unexpected food challenges, face hot topic questions, and even get a little musical in the process. Although some of the food featured on the show might not necessarily become the next big trend, the creativity and hilarity keeps viewers engaged.

The list of special guests includes rappers Remy Ma, ScarLip and Uncle Vin, Grammy nominated producer Havoc, reality TV star Renee Graziano and unofficial Coney Island mayor Gorilla Nems. These situations might not necessarily be common for them, but people often want to see their favorite pop culture stars in different settings.
What’s Cookin' Good Lookin’s concept shows the power of food in an entertainment space. Today’s food television shows are not how-to videos from the beginning of Food Network. While culinary competitions will always draw big audiences, people are hungry for more. The uber popularity of shows like Hot Ones proves that food can get people to the table and make them reveal often unuttered truths. If this new series can get a taste of that concept, it will be an instant hit.
The new six-episode series What’s Cookin' Good Lookin' from Hartbeat debuts on Peacock and Tubi beginning on Monday, November 25. Additionally, the series will be available via LOL Network’s FAST channels on Pluto, Roku, Samsung US, Vizio, Xumo, Sling Freestream, as well as additional platforms later this year.
