While some people might subscribe to the idea that green colors everything on St. Patrick’s Day, golden cocktails feel more than a wee bit lucky for the holiday. These options combined both a taste of the Irish and a little extra sparkle.

Irish whiskey is often a popular choice for St. Patrick’s Day. While there are a plethora of blends, single malts, and heritage brands, cocktails do not have to be that complicated. Even other liquors can join the holiday for their own spin.

Bushmills Irish Whiskey is serving some specialty cocktails at the Rose Bar in the Plaza Hotel. The special event adds a sophisticated touch to the St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Using the favorite Bushmills Irish Whiskey as the foundation, the creative team has found a way to showcase the oldest licensed whiskey distillery with some modern flare.

For those people who are unable to visit the Plaza for the special event, Bushmills Irish Whiskey shared the ingredients for Pot of Gold.

While Irish Whiskey might be the more prevalent spirit for the holiday, Sammy’s Beach Bar Platinum Rum suggests the Cup of Gold. This concept is a rift on a bee’s knees. It is sweet with a little extra surprise in every sip.

As Sammy Hagar says, “Enjoy a Cup of Gold with my lick “One Sip” from the Livin’ It Up album. You know the lyrics - “Yeah man, here we go...One sip and you’ll surrender...Now shake it up and pour it tall.” If you can, stick with a drier brut Champagne for the best pairing.”
