While Hell’s Kitchen holds chefs to the fire of the demanding executive chef and Next Level Chef requires the ability to rise to culinary greatness, the newest FOX unscripted show lurks in the shadows to hold culinary criminals accountable. In the new Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service, restaurants cannot hide their misguided choices from the all-seeing chef.

From his uber successful restaurant empire to his place in pop culture, Gordon Ramsay captivates people’s attention. Decades ago cutting commentary about being a doughnut or where is the lamb sauce had chefs running to the walk-in to hide their tears. Today, people long to hear those fiery retorts about their food offerings.

With numerous successful shows in collaboration with FOX, the newest unscripted series coming this summer will have people wondering if Chef Ramsay is making his case to play another infamous suave spy.

Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service is part impossible mission and part restaurant redemption. As Ramsay discovers the failures under the cloak of darkness, no one can sweep these catastrophes into the bin.

In a recent announcement from FOX, Gordon Ramsay said, “Over the years, I’ve embarked on many daring adventures alongside my partners at FOX. And Secret Service is the most intrepid of them all! With undercover help and cutting-edge technology, I get to go full on ‘MI6’ with these restaurants…and they’ll never see it coming.”

While some of his other shows have seen Ramsay jump out of helicopters, dive for a fresh catch, and a variety of other high adrenaline activities, this undercover chef scenario takes a different approach. In a way, it transforms the popular Kitchen Nightmares into a more immersive storytelling scenario.

Restaurant issues are more than a poorly maintained walk-in or a chef’s inability to properly execute a dish. A viral social media post and a coat of paint will not instantly make it better. By being able to see how the restaurant team acts and reacts when no one is looking will impact how and why a restaurant can find their path to redemption.

Speaking about the new series, Michael Thorn, President, FOX Television Network said, “Gordon is among the most prolific creative forces in television history, and along the way, has amassed an unbelievable fanbase, reaching nearly six billion total viewers and counting. With limitless talent, Gordon infuses each of his series with its own remarkable, distinctive personality and unrivalled stakes, a reputation he certainly upholds with this terrific new concept that will once again keep his fans endlessly engaged.”

Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service will premiere on Wednesday, May 21 at  9:00–10:00 PM ET/PT on FOX. Episodes can be streamed the next day on Hulu. It joins other Ramsay and FOX programming, including Hell’s Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars, and Next Level Chef.
