Hell’s Kitchen Season 23 episode 5 exclusive clip: Double order up
Hell's Kitchen Season 23 episode 5 marks a huge event in the celebrated Gordon Ramsay and FOX food television show. In this exclusive clip, one chef has double the pressure to deliver his order. Will he flip out or present burgers that earn his team a victory?
This week, Hell’s Kitchen airs its 350th episode. Few television series, let alone food television competitions, have come close to that milestone.
Looking back over the show’s history, Hell’s Kitchen has produced some of the most iconic Gordon Ramsay moments and phrases. Those fiery retorts have become part of pop culture and have been woven into Ramsay’s signature restaurant experiences. Although no one wants the Ramsay ire, people cannot get enough of the quick quips served with impeccable tasting food.
Instead of a blast from the past for the 350th episode, the chefs are challenged to show their culinary expertise in a classic dish, burgers. As the Red and Blue Teams face a head to head burger battle, George Motz joins Gordon Ramsay at the judging table.
In this Hell’s Kitchen Season 23 episode 5 exclusive clip, Chef Kyle steps up to cook two burgers. Will he flip under the pressure or is he ready to deliver a win for the Blue Team?
Looking at this clip, it seems like the Blue Team could be on track to find their groove. After too many failed dinner services, they need some positives in the kitchen. This quick clip shows that the group is communicating better.
By choosing to step up to cook two burgers, Chef Kyle is taking a calculated risk. While someone on the Blue Team needed to accept the challenge, it can easily backfire. Chef Kyle seems to have a plan. As long as he can execute that vision within the limited time, it could give the Blue Team an edge.
Based on the quick description of his lamb and dried aged beef burgers, they both seem to have approachable flavor profiles. While the raw bacon in the burger patty can be beneficial for the flavor and moisture, everyone is hopeful that the bacon renders in the limited cooking time. Fat can equal flavor, but only if it is executed correctly.
Impressing both Chef Ramsay and George Motz will be difficult. Given that Motz is a hamburger authority, he has discerning tastes with his burger preferences. Sometimes being able to execute a classic burger without all the “extras” is harder than relying on too many flavors to mask a poorly conceived concept.
Will Chef Kyle’s double order put the Blue Team on the upswing? Be sure to watch Hell’s Kitchen Season 23 episode 5, the 350th episode, Thursday, October 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Episodes can be streamed the next day on Hulu.
