For many people, enjoying a refreshing beverage while listening to their favorite music is the perfect way to spend a day. When the popular beverage brand launched White Claw Sessions, the concept was simple. As the tagline says, “Together Sounds Better,” that sense of community in the moment brings together all the senses. For musician Myles Smith, the opportunity was a match made in the stars.
Summer and music festivals go hand in hand. While the chords and the melodies have people swaying to the beat, the food and beverages complete the experience. With that ice-cold White Claw in hand, the music soars, and the event is even more festive.
Myles Smith joined with other artists for White Claw Sessions. The concept celebrates music, festivals, and the community created in that moment.
Through his partnership with White Claw, Myles Smith graciously answered some questions for FoodSided. Building on his recent success, this opportunity brings his music to a larger audience.
When asked why he wanted to join the White Claw Sessions, Myles said, “Allowing emerging artists to have the opportunity and platform to showcase their talents is important. The White Claw Sessions felt like a match made in the stars.”
The concept led with the tagline, “together sounds better.” For Myles, that statement reflects his music. "For me, it is people coming together, people building a community, fostering community. I believe that music creates a genuine community spirit and that sentiment is pertinent and important to our society.”
Myles believes that his musical success stems from fostering a connection between like-minded people. He explained, “My music is an artistic expression of the relationships that we have built and created. I want people to look beyond the surface, beyond just going to a concert. Community has to be the heart of what you do in order to achieve any goal.”
The White Claw collaboration comes after Myles was awarded the Brit Rising Star Award. When asked to reflect on that honor, Myles said, “It was so awesome to receive that award so early in my career. Following the likes of Adele in the same category, it can be super easy to be carried away with it. But, it is also grounding myself to the journey. We have a lot lined up for the summer, including a tour with Ed Sheeran and festivals both domestically and internationally. It is going to be an exciting year of growth.”
With festivals on the calendar, Myles sees these performances as a special opportunity.
“Festival season is alike Christmas for an artist. It is all of your favorite things condensed and compacted into such a short window. For me, the creativity flows during festival season because you get to be inspired by so many different things at once. Whether it is discovering a new song, artist, or finding inspiration in your own art and creativity, it is a way to move forward in your career.”
This summer, it is time to crack open a White Claw, let the music move you, and toast to the community that comes together to make a fulfilled life. Everyone can join together in those sentiments.
