Celebrate the vibrant spirit of Pride Month with these cocktails
June celebrates Pride Month. While many food and beverage brands show their support, Chambord has been committed to the LGBTQIA+ community and been a long standing supporter of PFLAG. Chambord’s Brand Ambassador Gianna Burns shares two cocktails that celebrate the vibrant spirit this month and all year long.
Chambord always brings a little pop of color and flavor to the glass. From that splash in a sparkling wine to a touch of sweetness in a cocktail, the stunning liqueur is often a favorite with mixologists.
For Pride Month, Gianna Burns, the liqueur’s brand ambassador, created two cocktails that not only bring a stunning visual but also capture the spirit of the month. The cocktails are based on familiar favorites but amplify the flavor and appearance with the use of Chambord.
As Burns said, "Pride is when people are constantly on the go, celebrating with the next fun party, amplifying their voices, and having boots on the ground to advocate for change. Chambord is a fun product because it sits in the unique space of being great for all environments that people may find themselves in during Pride Month; it can easily be added to cocktails for an added boost of flavor, or you can utilize it as a refreshing low ABV beverage when you want to relax and enjoy the moment. However you celebrate Pride, Chambord is the winner for every occasion.”
Toast to Pride Month Chambord cocktails
The Out and Proud Paloma
The Paloma is often a summertime favorite. The grapefruit juice is slightly tart yet not too pucker forward. With the addition of the Chambord, this version has an extra hint of sweetness.
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Chambord Liqueur
1.5 oz Blanco Tequila
.5 oz Lime juice
1 oz Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
Champagne or brut sparkling wine
Method:
Shake all ingredients except Champagne with ice. Strain into a glass over a large ice cube + garnish
Glassware: Collins or Pint Glass
Garnish: chamomile blossoms, raspberries, blackberries, golden berries, and kiwi berries on a toothpick
While this recipe uses champagne or brut sparkling wine, some people might want to swap a sparkling water for a less potent potable. Although some paloma recipes use a grapefruit sparkling beverage or soda, it might be better to skip that ingredient. It could create an imbalanced flavor.
Berry Proud Margarita
Ingredients:
1 1/2 part Tequila
1/2 part Chambord
1/2 part Strawberry Puree
1 part Lime Juice
Method:
Shake and strain over ice.
Glassware: Rocks Glass
Garnish: Dehydrated lime & spicy rim
The key to this cocktail is the spicy rim. A touch of Tajin on the rim helps to contrast the sweetness of the berry forward margarita. For another option, consider a black salt or a combination of a salt and spice rim.
Raise a glass to inclusion and unity with these Chambord cocktails. That sentiment applies to all months of the year.
