Cheesy Chicken Crispanada takes Taco Bell in a new direction

After a successful Live Mas Live event in Las Vegas, the Cheesy Chicken Crispanada hits all Taco Bell menus on February 15. Many people will be running to the quick service restaurant to get that first taste of the new food.  

Taco Bell continues to innovate its menu with food that not only pushes flavor boundaries but is also convenient for guests. With the new Cheesy Chicken Crispanada, the handheld food fits into the quick service restaurant’s push to modernize its menu.  

Previously menu tested in Tennessee, the Cheesy Chicken Crispanada is Taco Bell’s take on an empanada. First, the crispy shell is seasoned. That aspect adds a depth of flavor to the overall eating experience.  

Stuffed inside that shell is a combination of seasoned chicken and melted cheese. It appears that every bite will have the balance of chicken, spice and cheese.  

Beyond the flavor, it is the portability that makes this new menu item important to the Taco Bell menu. A new handheld, easy to eat option fits into people’s on the go eating preferences. Hitting the drive-thru and eating in the car is back on the schedule. It might not be easy to add some hot sauce to that Cheesy Chicken Crispanada but the seasoned shell can make up for it.  

This new food is just one of many Taco Bell menu innovations that will be coming in 2024. From creative brand collaborations to new menu items, there are plenty of opportunities to embrace that Live Mas mantra throughout 2024.  

The new Cheesy Chicken Crispanada hits Taco Bell restaurants on February 15. The suggested price is $3.49. It will be available for a limited time.
