Whether eaten with a classic ButterBurger or enjoyed on their own, Culver’s Cheese Curds are always a tasty choice. To kick off National Cheese Curd Day, the popular restaurant brand is taking its hot, gooey, cheesy bites to swicy side. Hungry for the first taste of Culver’s Hot Honey Cheese Curds?

While Wisconsin Cheese lovers know plenty of facts about that classic squeaky cheese, Culver’s has brought the classic food to a broader audience. The perfectly crispy coating reveals that cheddar center. It is impossible to eat just one.

Every year, Culver’s celebrates cheese curds in October. In addition to National Cheese Curds Day, the brand has put its indulgent, fan favorite CurdBurger to the menu. Returning for the fourth year, that ButterBurger is topped with a cheese curd crown and has a cheesy goodness in every delicious bite.

This year, the restaurant brand steps into the swicy food trend with the new Hot Honey Cheese Curds. Available starting on October 15, the specialty offering will have people lining up for the first taste.

We've championed cheese curds for decades, and we're always looking for ways to deliver uniquely delicious curd experiences to our guests. The hot honey flavor is featured in the breading. It should have a subtle sweet heat that should not be overwhelming. Given that cheese can temper spice, it should be a slow burn but nothing extreme.

It is interesting that Culver’s chose to put the flavor in the breading. Many cheese curd brands have flavored curds. From jalapeno to dill, there are a myriad of flavor combinations.

Lastly, it would be fun to see how a hot honey drizzle or dip would work with both the cheese curds and the CurdBurger. It might be worth bringing some of that hot honey in your purse and add a little condiment boost.
