Dunkin Potion Macchiato is a spooktacular sip for the Halloween season

While Dunkin might always be making the donuts, a new beverage has everyone under its spell. The Dunkin Potion Macchiato has a bold color and sweet flavor. Everyone will be counting the days till that first sip.

Seasonal menus, especially Halloween food, are big business for restaurants. While some food is just a colorful makeover of popular items, others are new, innovative, and worthy of making a special trip. The new Dunkin Potion Macchiato is one of those items.

Available starting on October 16, the new Potion Macchiato combines espresso, marshmallow ube and whole milk. Based on that description, the flavor will be rather rich and sweet. The whole milk offers a heavier viscosity and makes it feel more indulgent.

The marshmallow ube is interesting beyond the vibrant purple color. Ube has become more popular in desserts. The sweet potato has a subtle flavor, but people appreciate how it balances with other ingredients. By combining it with marshmallow, the flavor should be on the sweeter side.

Of course, everyone will want to capture that layered coffee beverage visual to share with everyone. Afterall, given the bold choice this drink should not be sipped in the shadows.

The Potion Macchiato can be ordered hot or cold. To fully appreciate the layered colors, it might be better to order the beverage cold.

Since the Halloween season celebrates choosing to have that extra treat, why not pair the new Potion Macchiato with the reimagined Spider Donut. The fan favorite has a purple makeover. Although it might not be able to sit on top of that Potion Macchiato, it is a color match. This combination will be the Halloween hit.

In addition to these two special offerings, Dunkin will be offering its Halloween Munchkins Bucket. Returning after a hiatus, the special bucket holds 50 Munchkins. Also, the bucket can be purchased without the donut holes for just $2.

The Munchkins are available in chocolate and orange sprinkles.  Also, classic donuts are decorated in colorful sprinkles as well.
