While the iconic Butterbeer will always be part of the Wizarding World, recent details from Epic Universe’s Ministry of Magic dining options are far more sophisticated than just the frothy beverage. From a classic French cafe to quiet enclaves for hushed meals, this latest chapter in the Universal Orlando Resort dining program is worthy of top billing.

Now that all the Epic Universe realms have been revealed, Harry Potter fans will delight over the Ministry of Magic experiences that blend the two worlds in a seamless way. From the attractions to the new live performance space, many guests will explore every carefully crafted detail. Even though there might not be a fiery blast igniting the sky over the land, there are plenty of hidden gems that will take hours to discover.

Given that the trek to magical destination can leave guests hungry and thirsty for a rest, the Ministry of Magic dining options are a delightful diversion on that journey. Similar to how a cosmopolitan city offers a taste of many cultures, this area epitomizes that city center vibe.

The highlight of the dining experiences will be the Café L'Air De La Sirène. Anyone who has spent time at a Parisian café appreciates that the space offers a time to chat, indulge, and people watch. This space seems more like a restaurant that would be found nestled in front of the Paris Opera, bathed in opulence of French culture.

Said to offer French sandwiches, plats du jour, and desserts, the menu should be approachable French cuisine. It seems unlikely that pate or escargot will be featured food. Still, it would be nice to see some traditional French fare beyond a baguette with cheese. Given Universal’s culinary team’s recent offerings, this menu will be far from bland or boring.

For a slightly more subtle experience. Le Gobelet Noir might resemble the vibe of those old school steakhouses where shady dealings were sealed with a handshake. Over hearty meals, this space is meant to be the time to step away from prying eyes and maybe let your guard down, a little. Then again, the unexpected can always appear around any corner.

Like many travelers, a taste of home can make the unfamiliar less daunting. At Bar Moonshine, the space celebrates a taste of Americana. Although it is not as kitschy as an American in Paris, the refreshing beverages allow those USA travelers to unwind. In a way, it is the Wizarding World’s version of the sports bar.

Lastly, a Wizarding World space must have Butterbeer. At the Bièraubeurre Cart, guests can get a taste of that classic, sweet sipper. Whether or not a new version of that iconic beverage will appear in Epic Universe remains to be seen.

Epic Universe’s Ministry of Magic dining options will be available once the new Universal Orlando Resort theme park opens in 2025. Exact opening dates as well as ticket pricing will be available at a later date.
