While the River Boyne might have some people thinking of the historic implications across the Irish history, this Slane Irish Whiskey cocktail is far from stodgy. The bright, effervescent flavor is perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

1 part Slane Irish Whiskey

1 part Lemon Juice

1 Dash Orange Bitters

1 tbsp honey

Tonic Water

Garnish: Mint Sprig and Lemon Wheel

Method

Add Slane to a highball glass. Add lemon juice and honey. Stir together until honey is broken down. Add ice and top with tonic water. Garnish with a mint sprig and lemon wheel.

O’Hagar’s Pot O’ Gold

While Sammy Hagar has had some golden moments on stage, this St. Patrick’s Day cocktail gets a boost of sweetness from Monin Honey Syrup. Whether or not the Leprechaun leapt across the sand to inspire this cocktail does not matter. It is a refreshing sip at golden hour or any time of the day.

Ingredients

2 ounces of Sammy’s Beach Bar Platinum Rum

3⁄4 ounce of fresh lime juice

3⁄4 ounce of Monin Honey Syrup

2 ounces of sparkling wine

Preparation

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the Sammy’s Beach Bar Platinum Rum, lime juice and honey syrup. Shake well and strain into a chilled tulip glass. Top with sparkling wine. Swath the rim with the fresh orange peel, then squeeze the oils into the drink and drop the peel into the cocktail.

St. Paddy’s Potion

Continuing the sweet conversation, this Bacardi cocktail is a touch sweet but nuanced. It might not be a flavor trick, but the potion casts a flavorful spell on everyone.

Ingredients

2 oz BACARDÍ Reserva Ocho Sevillian Orange Cask Finish

1/4 oz Honey Syrup

2 Dashes Angostura Bitter

Orange peel

Method

Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass. Add ice and stir for 10-15 seconds. Pour over a large cube in an old fashioned. Garnish with an orange side.

2 oz J.J. Corry The Hanson Irish Whiskey

.5 oz Cardamaro

.5 oz Dolin Blanc

1 dash Orange Bitters

Garnish: orange peel

Method

Shake all ingredients in a mixer with ice. Strain and pour into coupe. Garnish with orange peel.
