Adjo introduced viewers to West African cuisine. In the recent episode, she was quite moved when she made the finale. As she stated, her goal was to share the history and stories from her culture. In each and every dish, she highlighted that different is good and deserves its moment on the table.
Even though Adjo struggled with execution, her flavors impressed time and again. If she can pull together a well-executed dish with bold flavors, Adjo has a strong opportunity to win.
Jon has had the most growth during the season. Each round showed that he listened to the judges’ feedback and improved. As the judges commented, he showed spirit, heart, and ambition on the plate.
Looking at his dishes, Jon honored heritage in each of his dishes. As a Mexican American, his flavor profiles were delicious, and he was able to capture that connection to his culture.
Lastly, Marcella had the most consistent journey of the three finalists. Time and again, she found her way to impress the judges.
The biggest compliment that she received was that everyone could feel the love in her food. That ingredient might not be on the recipe card, but it is vital to the overall enjoyment of a dish.
