The newest culinary competition coming to Food Network adds an intriguing element to the cooking chaos. While Tituss Burgess might bring a little levity to his hosting duties, this hotel-inspired food television show might add a new flavor to lucky 13.

Food Network continues to evolve its food television programming. While certain mainstays like its Baking Championships and even Tournament of Champions has viewers watching and rewatching all the action, new, creative takes on culinary concepts often get people to watch and stream. Shows like 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing is a prime example.

The newest show joining the line-up for fall is Last Bite Hotel. While this concept might sound a little eerie, the competition show has several twists that will make each episode compelling.

Hosted by Tituss Burgess, the twists, turns, and some luck will factor into this hotel-themed show. Whether or not Burgess breaks into a song remains to be seen, but the Food Network program looks to be a spirited event.

As Betsy Ayala Head of Content, Food commented, “Last Bite Hotel takes the resourcefulness of culinary creativity to a whole new level. Precious provisions are carefully decided before chefs even step foot in the kitchen. The competition’s twists and turns are made even more suspenseful by the macabre playfulness of the incredibly talented Tituss Burgess as hotel manager.”

What chefs will be competing on Last Bite Hotel?

According to Food Network, the chefs competing to earn the title are: Brittanny Anderson (Richmond, VA), Gabriella Baldwin(Detroit, MI), Graham Campbell (Edinburg, TX), Tobias Dorzon (Baltimore, MD), Byron Gomez (Denver, CO), Kevin Lee (Oklahoma, OK), Nini Nguyen (New Orleans, LA) and Aarthi Sampath (New York, NY.)

As seen with the list, several familiar faces to Food Network viewers will be serving their best dishes. It will take a lot to impress the VIP guest judges who include Esther Choi, Cat Cora, Jose Garces, Alex Guarnaschelli, Judy Joo, Poppy O’Toole, Marcus Samuelsson, Michael Symon, and Andrew Zimmern.

The biggest twist in this food television show is that “each chef may only bring 13 ingredients for their entire stay.” While it seems likely that there are more than 13 ingredients total in the six-week competition, the reality is that limited ingredients, adapting to guests’ preferences, and the other tasks push the chefs’ creativity.

Anyone can make a great dish that is in their repertoire. Only great chefs can cook outside of their comfort zone.

Who will be the last chef standing? Be sure to watch the premiere on Tuesday, September 24 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Episodes can be streamed the next day on MAX.
