While donuts and coffee are always a delightful flavor melody, the new Ballerini Blend from The Original Donut Shop Coffee and Kelsea Ballerini is the perfect pick me up to start the day.

How a person takes their coffee can reveal a little bit about their personality. From the brew that is dark and robust to a medium roast with a hint of sweetness, that flavor profile is quite telling.  For example, pouring too strong of a roast for a person who prefers more subtle flavors could have them adding an extra splash of creamer and having a less than perky response to "how's your day."

Over the years, The Original Donut Shop Coffee has created limited time offerings in conjunction with various well-known celebrities. Some people choose that flavor for the smoothness of that one step latte and others for the pop culture connection. No matter the reason, the specialty offerings have them pushing aside that classic java for an exciting pour.

The Ballerini Blend is the latest offering from The Original Donut Shop Coffee. Speaking about the product launch, Becky Opdyke, Senior Vice President, Coffee Marketing at Keurig Dr Pepper, “This National Donut Day, we worked to bring forth a playful blend that channeled Ballerini's flavorful passion points. We're thrilled to take this partnership one step further with the release of the exclusive Ballerini Blend and are looking forward to continuing to treat the taste buds of our consumers!"

What does the Ballerini Blend taste like?

The limited-edition, co-branded Ballerini Blend from The Original Donut Shop Coffee and Kelsea Ballerini leans into sweetness. As the first drips hit the coffee mug, the vanilla notes are apparent. Although the sugary note is clear, the aroma is not cloyingly sweet.

Without adding any additional sugar or cream, the coffee is almost as if there was some melted vanilla ice cream in the bottom of the mug. The vanilla notes never overpower the coffee. It just makes the roast a little more approachable.

For the coffee drinker who prefers a little milk, cream, or sweetener, this coffee blend does not require a lot of extras. A small splash or just a tiny scoop to complement the vanilla notes is all that is needed.

While a piping hot coffee is a great way to set the intention for the day, the Ballerini Blend is equally enjoyable over ice. For a mid-afternoon pick me up, it is a welcome burst of brightness.

Another fun idea for this specialty blend is to freeze the coffee into ice cubes. For anyone who has jumped on the coffee and orange juice kick, the added vanilla note in that iced coffee is a creamsicle like treat.

The Ballerini Blend from The Original Donut Shop Coffee and Kelsea Ballerini is available now at Keurig.com, while supplies last.
