After adding Avocado Toast to its menu, Panera is taking that popular food item to another level. In an effort to “Toast, Don’t Roast, Millennials,” the new Millennial Meal will have all age demographics happy to place that order.

While some people might have some curious words or descriptions for Millennials, it is time to be positive, supportive, or otherwise welcoming to a community group. Divisiveness needs to be pushed off the table for a more welcoming, flavorful experience.

Launching ahead of Avocado Day on July 31, the new Millennial Meal combines two favorite food items, Avocado Toast and Iced Coffee. Whether it is breakfast, lunch, or just because, the food and beverage pairing has become a classic.

On the Panera menu, there are two Avocado Toast options, Classic Avo and Garden Avo. Both menu items feature thin-sliced Country Rustic Sourdough. The slightly tangy bread contrasts the richness of the chunky avocado. Combined with the everything bagel seasoning, it hits all the different flavor profiles.

The Garden Avo adds sliced tomatoes. The added ingredient adds a dollar to the overall cost, $3.49 versus $4.49.

To celebrate National Avocado Day on July 31, Panera will be offering free Avo Toast with any purchase. To receive the free food deal, guests should use the promo code AVOTOAST when ordering via PaneraBread.com/MillennialMeal.

This type of food promotion is smart for Panera. While it builds on a social media topic, it takes a popular menu item and gives it a new twist. Sometimes seeing a familiar food in a new light gives it a freshness.

Hungry for some Avo Toast and an Iced Coffee? It seems you have plans on July 31.
