Whether it is a juicy burger or a big bowl of pasta, many people like to follow that scrumptious dinner with a sweet ending. For those people who find it difficult to decide between the spoon and the glass, Skrewball’s recipe for Benny’s Sticky Icky Sundae is the ultimate solution.

Skrewball, the original peanut butter whiskey, appreciates that some people prefer a little sweetness with their libations. That nutty note rounded out with the warm whiskey flavor is quite enjoyable.

Over the years, the liquor brand created a myriad of exciting cocktails. From ones on the sweeter side to complex offerings with layered flavors, there are plenty of options to sip.

As seen in Royal Caribbean’s bar program, the beverage team uses the peanut butter whiskey to create some unique twists on classic. From a peanut butter and jelly cocktail to the new Utopia of the Seas peanut butter pina colada, it shows the liquor’s versatility.

Since the liquor often works well with sweeter profile, Skrewball is delicious in a dessert. It turns that simple dessert into flavor fireworks.

Recently, Benny Blanco created a special dessert using the peanut butter whiskey. It is the perfect combination of sweet and nutty.

Here’s how to make Benny’s Sticky Icky Sundae with Skrewball.

Ingredients:

1 brûléed banana cut into halves

3 scoops sea salt ice cream with caramel ribbons

Skrewy magic shell (recipe below)

3 Skrewball soaked cherries (for visuals – bourbon cherries work fine)

Skrewball candied peanuts (for visuals – any candied peanuts work fine)

Skrewball-infused whipped cream (for visuals – regular whip cream works fine)

Edible gold leaf

Method:

Slice banana and brûlée by topping with sugar and torching the top of each halve

Place 3 scoops of ice cream on top of brûléed banana halves

Top with signature Skrewy magic shell (4 oz. Natural Peanut Butter + 4 oz. Coconut Oil + 3 Tbsp of Skrewball Whiskey + Warm all 3 ingredients together into a fully emulsified blend and place in a squeeze bottle, allow to fully cool prior to use)

Add candied peanuts, top with whipped cream and cherries

Add gold leaf and enjoy!

While the gold leaf is bougie, it is optional. If you cannot get gold leaf, some sprinkles work, too. Or, do not worry about the garnish.

Also, the Skrewball soaked cherries could be used in other applications as well. It might be best to make a few extras for cocktail garnishes or just because.

Next time when the decision between the spoon and the straw is too difficult, choose both with this Skrewball Sundae.
