Starbucks grows its menu with sweet and savory items

In addition to the Iced Energy Beverages, Starbucks adds new sweet, savory, and coffee options to its menu. No matter the time of day, everyone will be able to satisfy that craving and quench that thirst.

Menu expansion seems to be a hot topic in the restaurant world. While some restaurants are doing expansive changes, others are adding strategic options to round out the menu. In either case, the choices are in direct contrast to the shrinkage that happened several years ago.

While Starbucks periodically adds new seasonal offerings, these new changes are more than just a nod to a fleeting flavor. It seems to consider consumer preferences for more timeless options that appeal all year round.

The two food items joining the Starbucks menu are Blueberry Streusel Muffin and Egg, Pesto, and Mozzarella Sandwich. The muffin is a classic choice. That sweet, spicy cinnamon streusel topping is the perfect contrast to the juicy blueberries.

The Egg, Pesto and Mozzarella Sandwich is a great vegetarian option. While there are many egg breakfast sandwiches, this choice is a multi-layered flavor experience. The cheddar and onion bun contrasts with the basil pesto. With the egg fritta bringing all the flavors together, it feels more like a brunch dish than just another breakfast sandwich.

What new beverage goes with the new Starbucks food options?

Since non-dairy beverages continue to be popular with guests, Starbucks is expanding its cold foam and cream options. Nondairy vanilla sweet cream and nondairy vanilla sweet cream cold foam join the menu. Each item is made with oatmilk and soymilk.

The year round food item can be added to any beverage. From that cold brew to even a creamy note in a fruit-forward beverage, the customization allows guests to embrace their flavor creativity.

Additionally, there is a new Caramel Vanilla Swirl Iced Coffee. This beverage could be an alternative to that over the top Frappuccino. The sweet ingredients can make this option feel like a dessert or special treat.
