Wendy’s Krabby Patty Kollab menu brings that animated food to life

While that first note can get everyone singing the theme song, the SpongeBob world has been missing a key element for super fans. Even though people can sleep in a pineapple, hug SpongeBob at theme parks, and otherwise immerse themselves in underwater world, the doors to the Krusty Krab were closed to the non-animated guest. Thanks to the Wendy’s Krabby Patty Kollab menu, everyone can take a big bite of that classic Krabby Patty.

Food collaborations instantly get people excited. Whether it is a celebrity partnership, pop culture connection, or another fun inspiration, these special promotions have people running to get that first taste. Even if they rarely hit the drive-thru, many people cannot resist the must have food item.

SpongeBob SquarePants is celebrating 25 years of being the loveable porous and yellow character that delights young and old. From his signature laugh to his adventures with his buddy Patrick, the animated character has done it all. There was even a Broadway musical that brought the under the sea world to the stage.

Now, Wendy’s has partnered with the Bikini Bottom icon to bring two menu items to its restaurants. Speaking to this special collaboration, Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. Chief Marketing Officer for The Wendy’s Company said, “In a world of people cutting corners, Wendy’s is known for quality in everything we do – from our fresh, famous food to collaborations with brands that our fans love. So, it makes sense that two of the most iconic squares in pop culture are teaming up to bring a taste of this unique, limited-time experience to life for fans of all ages!”

What food items are on the Wendy’s Krabby Patty Kollab menu?

Launching on October 8 across restaurants nationwide, the Wendy’s Krabby Patty Kollab menu features two items, Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty and Krabby Patty Kollab Burger.

First, the Krabby Patty Kollab Burger gives everyone a taste of what that iconic animated food tastes like outside of the two dimensional world. According to Wendy’s, it starts with a quarter pound of Wendy’s fresh, never frozen beef. It is then topped with two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion.

The key to this burger is the Krabby Kollab sauce. While this secret recipe will have many people trying to reverse engineer the ingredients, it is best to just enjoy it. And, don’t forget to ask for some extra sauce on the side. Wendy’s is the Fast Food Done Right brand that always wants the guest to be satisfied. Some of that Krabby Kollab sauce with its fries would be delicious.

The most anticipated offering is the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty. The frozen treat combines the Vanilla Frosty with a Pineapple Mango puree swirl. The flavor will be tropical, sweet, yet balanced.

This Frosty idea is an innovation for Wendy’s. There has not been a “swirled Frosty.” While the flavor fits in perfectly with the SpongeBob collab, it opens the door to other possibilities.

Given that Wendy’s has been successful with its lemonade and fruit combinations, could a blackberry swirl be next? The possibilities for swirled Frosty options are many.
