While no one is ever sorry to enjoy a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, the newest flavor to hit the shelf comes with a difficult decision. With the new Reese’s PB&J Cups, which jelly flavor is best, grape or strawberry? Only one answer is acceptable.

Reese’s has made a splash with its Big Cups. It is more than just size that has people grabbing more than one package off the shelf. The flavor layer makes that salty, sweet, and creamy peanut butter filling taste even better.

While the brand has had chocolate lava and caramel flavors, one classic, iconic combination has not been part of the line-up, until now. Reese’s PB&J  Cups take that classic comfort food and transform it into the ultimate candy.

As Melissa Blette, senior brand manager at Reese's said, "Reese's is all about having fun. Teasing the idea of us 'getting into the sandwich business' was a playful way to spark conversation. All kidding aside, this was the most obvious next move for us. PB&J is an all-time classic, and Reese's was always the missing piece—so we fixed it!"

While this concept will be well-received, there is a difficult choice to make. Is strawberry or grape the better PB&J flavor combination?

With the strawberry, the sweet, juiciness contrasts the slight saltiness of the peanut butter. Chocolate and strawberry always go together. This version has younger, fun feel versus those chocolate covered strawberries at Valentine’s Day.

Thinking about this combination, this cups flavor would be delicious sandwiched between two lady fingers to make a dessert sandwich. The simple cookie lets the offer flavors shine but it mimics the idea of an old school lunch sandwich.

The grape version might be the overlooked option, but it is the combination that could spark a bigger flavor conversation. Grape can sometimes feel juvenile. In this version, it conjures those school memories in just a single bite. Chocolate, grape, and peanut butter might not be the most common pairing, but it is one that deserves a chance. This flavor will surprise many people.

Available for a limited time, the Reese’s PB&J Cups are available now. They are sold in standard, king, and snack size multipacks. Check retailers for availability and pricing.
