While many people enjoy a day at the ballpark, going to a Savannah Bananas game is unlike a traditional nine inning experience. The hugely popular baseball team has partnered with Aramark to add some excitement to its food and beverage menu. The new Banana Dog will be the most talked about stadium item of the summer.
For those unfamiliar with the Savannah Bananas, the uber popular team is unlike the traditional MLB teams. These engaging, sometimes humorous, baseball players make each inning even more enjoyable for fans. It is more than their vibrantly colored uniforms. They put the fun back into America’s pastime.
This summer, the team has partnered with the Aramark hospitality team to offer several unique offerings at its games and at some MLB partners stadiums. The items include the ultimate treat, the Banana Dog.
Speaking about the specialty menu items, Alison Birdwell, President and CEO of Aramark Sports + Entertainment said, “Like the Savannah Bananas, the fan is our No. 1 priority and our team strives to deliver dynamic food and beverage experiences that create memories and leave a lasting impression. We are thrilled to collaborate with the Bananas to further enhance the incredible fan-first atmosphere they deliver at each of their games and know the Banana Dog will be a hit for Summer 2025.”
One of the signature items for the summer is the banana dog. The specialty food features a caramelized New England Roll, stuffed with a banana, which is topped with fresh sliced strawberries, Hershey’s syrup, and whipped topping. It is a simple dish but one that captures the sweetness of summer fun. No one will be able to resist the specialty food.
There are other specialty food and beverage items, too. Also, the events will offer special collectors’ cups for the special events.
In addition to these offerings being available at Bananas home games, the specialty items will be sold at partner venues later this summer. These dates include: Fenway Park (July 5-6), Citizens Bank Park (July 26-27), Coors Field (August 9-10) and PNC Park (August 29-30).
Ready to satisfy that craving? This baseball dog is one that everyone will remember for the whole season.
