From chicken nuggets to chicken tacos and burritos, Taco Bell is betting big on the chicken game. On June 17, the popular fast food chain is launching a new lineup featuring Crispy Chicken Tacos and Burritos. The menu items will be loaded up with Crisp Chicken Strips and ample sauce.
Thanks to success of Taco Bell's Crispy Chicken Nuggets launch, they're aiming for an even more significant addition of chicken to the menu.
The Crispy Chicken Tacos and Burritos receive the same signature tortilla-coated crunch as the Nuggets, but this time in larger portions for the Crispy Chicken Strip. These strips are all-white meat chicken marinated in jalapeño buttermilk flavor and then breaded with a tortilla chip and breadcrumbs coating.
The menu items come with the launch of two new sauces as well, Spicy Ranchero and Avocado Ranch. Check out the entire lineup below.
- Crispy Chicken Taco ($2.79): Chicken Strip in a tortilla layered with lettuce, pico de gallo, purple cabbage, cheddar cheese, and your choice of Spicy Ranchero or Avocado Ranch Sauce.
- Crispy Chicken Burrito ($5.49): Full-sized burrito with two Crisp Chicken Strips, purple cabbage, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, cheddar cheese, and your choice of sauce.
- Crispy Chicken Strips (2 for $3.99): If you just want to try Taco Bell's new Chicken Strips you can get them separate from the tacos and burritos.

As for the new sauces, the Spicy Ranchero is described as a creamy sauce with a little spice from its Anaheim and jalapeño chiles, plus tomato, garlic, and onion.
Those who prefer less spice will likely want to go for the Avocado Ranch, a creamy and zesty ranch-based sauce with avocado.
Fast food chicken items are very much "on trend" right now. McDonald's recently revealed they were bringing back the beloved snack wrap and Popeyes has also launched a new snack wrap.
But Taco Bell's Global Chief Food Innovation Officer, Liz Matthews, says these new menu items aren't just about a trend, they're looking to redesign fast food chicken offerings "completely with the signature flavor of Taco Bell. Reinventing what crispy chicken can be is a challenge we've fully embraced and executed, and these menu additions are just the beginning."
Tacos, burritos, and chicken strips might be the latest additions to the ever-evolving Taco Bell menu but they're just the beginning. It's likely that we'll see some more tasty flavor mashups in the future.
For now, the chicken menu items are advertised as limited time, but the official Taco Bell press release says that Crispy Chicken is set to become a permanent menu item sometime in 2026.
