The fall season is here and Lazy Dog is one step ahead of things! FoodSided dropped by last week to preview their fall menu and you are all in for a treat! Take a look at the delicious additions below!

On Tuesday, September 26, Lazy Dog is rolling out their new fall menu at all their locations. The American casual dining restaurant, with locations in California, Texas, and Nevada, introduced a series of new drinks, appetizers, and entrees. All of which are made-from-scratch, as are all of their menu items, and packing in flavor and seasonal ingredients.

If you’re a fan of spicy treats that make you feel all sorts of nostalgia, you’ll love Lazy Dog’s fall menu! Take a look…

Starters and Appetizers

The media dinner kicked off (literally) with Pow Pow Popcorn, which had a kick of spice. This treat will only be available during Happy Hour and is house made caramel popcorn with sea salt, chili flakes, and sesame seeds. We also tried Bacon Candy (bacon with brown sugar, crushed red pepper chili flakes, and black pepper) and Buffalo Cauliflower (house made high altitude hot sauce, blue cheese, and fresh parsley).

Our favorite from the three? The Pow Pow Popcorn. It’s the perfect twist on a traditional snack. But the tasty food didn’t stop there! Lazy Dog also served us their Onion Ring Poutine and Seasonal Roasted Street Carrots. These last two are better as small plates to share with the table than appetizers. Here are the details on both:

Onion Ring Poutine: “Five hour braised pot roast, crispy onion rings, french fries, housemade gravy, Havarity, sunny-side up egg, roasted vegetables.”

Seasonal Roasted Street Carrots: A twist on street corn! “Organic rainbow heirloom carrots, garlic, queso blanco, cilantro lime crema, and tajin.” This sauce tastes just as the street corn sauce, but with carrots — must try!

Entrees

Alaskan Halibut: “Served with parmesan and herb crust, warm brussel sprout and heriloom tomato salad, croutons soaked in lemon caper sauce.” In the mood for a light, but satisfying meal that won’t leave you hungry? Get this!

More from FoodSided

Berkshire Pork Shank: “Durham ranch 100% Berkshire pork, slow-braised in pork broth with tangerine juices, garlic, ginger, soy sauce and honey, served with spicy kimchi fried rice.” Guys, this is absolutely delicious! Very filling and the generous portion is enough to share (or box up for later). Meat cooked to perfection. Warning: It varies for each taste bud, but the rice to me was a bit too spicy for my taste!

"Other entrees added to their fall menu:14oz Ribeye and Blue Cheese: butter served with waffle cut au gratin potatoes, seasonal vegetables and housemade gravy.7oz Petite Filet and Bacon Jam: served with waffle cut au gratin potatoes, seasonal vegetables and housemade gravy.Mushroom and Bacon Crisp: Housemade cream sauce, mozzarella, blue cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, balsamic, fresh thyme.Seasonal Slow-cooked Tomato Soup: San Marzano tomatoes, roasted red peppers, cream fresh basil, housemad croutons.Lunch MenuGrilled Cheese Sticks and Tomato Soup: Chedder cheese on parmesan sourdough toast, served with a cup of our slow-cooked tomato soup.Pork Noodle Bowl: Housemade bone broth, slow cooked pork shoulder, sunny-side up egg, rice noodles, cabbage slaw, fresh basil, cilantro, mint, chili oil."

Desserts

Apple-Huckleberry Open Face Pie: Made from scratch with wild huckeberries, apples, cinnamon and sugar, salted caramel sauce, served warm with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. Fan of apple pie? Think of this as an upgrade.

Pumpkin Cheesecake: “Graham cracker crust, housemade caramel, chocolate sauce, cinnamon sugar walnut crumble, and whipped cream.’ We have a winner! This is absolutely one of my favorite desserts here in Dallas. This whipped cream on this cheesecake is to die for, the dessert is soft and packing just the right about of pumpkin flavor that doesn’t overwhelm the taste buds. It’s fall on a plate.

Drinks

Huckleberry Basil Bourbon Shrub: “Buffalo Trace Bourbon, housemade wild huckleberry shrub, fresh basil, and soda.” This pink drink is as delicious as it is pretty! The perfect blend of sweet and refreshing.

Maple Bacon Old Fashioned: “Lunazul tequila, fresh citrus puree, and thyme.” This drink is full of flavor. Maybe too much flavor? If you enjoy an Old Fashioned, you’ll more than likely enjoy this one. It has a hint of maple and paired with a crispy bacon strip.
