Have you seen McDonald’s flagship restaurant spooky transformation? This one-of-kind light show has everyone thinking, Trick, Treat, Win!

Halloween has taken over McDonald’s flagship restaurant. In honor of the company’s new Halloween promotion, Trick, Treat, Win!, the Chicago restaurant has been transformed into a spooky, light spectacle. Whether you enjoy the Halloween decorations during the light or wait till the darkness hits, this McDonald’s Halloween display is a must see.

Halloween has become a huge holiday celebration. Beyond the trick or treating, the spooks and treats are celebrated all month long. McDonald’s has embraced the Halloween season not only with its new game promotion but also with its decoration of the Chicago flagship location.

Check out this video of the Trick. Treat. Win! Fright Lights at the McDonald’s flagship restaurant in downtown Chicago.

This Halloween display has some really interesting details. Throughout the display, there are various tombstones. Each tombstone marks the passing of a McDonald’s food item that is no longer on the menu.

Do you remember the McD.L.T? That oldie, but goodie menu item makes an appearance. Other choices, like the Onion Nuggets (my McDonald’s knowledge fails to recall that menu item) and McPizza represented, too. Wonder how many menu items will stump you?

While this transformation was to promote the new national game, Trick. Treat. Win!, the decision is quite interesting. While many people think of McDonald’s as a quick, grab and go meal, this light specatuclar is turning the restaurant into a destination. People may be more willing to stop at this particular McDonald’s just to see the light display. And, McDonald’s hopes, guests will stay for a meal.

Brands are continually looking to set themselves apart in a highly competitive industry. Recently, McDonald’s committed to more food transparency and higher quality ingredients. This new display shows the brand’s push to make eating at this particular restaurant an experience.

While many local McDonald’s restaurants wouldn’t be able to create this display, they could use it as an example. Why shouldn’t a local McDonald’s decorate the store for Halloween. It could drive more traffic and it supports the brand’s new promotional game, Trick, Treat, Win!
