Pancizza, new IHOP food combines two of America’s favorite foods

Have you heard of the new IHOP food, Pancizza? This new food celebrates two of America’s favorite foods just in time for a huge food holiday.

A new IHOP food is coming to your favorite place for pancakes. The Pancizza combines two of America’s favorite round foods, pancakes and pizza. This latest food innovation will surely have everyone excited to grab a slice.

To celebrate this special food innovation, IHOP is creating up a special Pancizzeria Shop in New York City. On February 9 from 11 a.m. till 11 p.m., guests can try one or all three of the limited edition flavors. But, if you don’t live in New York City, don’t fret. DoorDash has a solution.

For pizza and pancake lovers who live in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and New York City, DoorDash will offer “delivery of 7′ Pancizzas in select restaurants” in those cities. Delivery will be available from February 8 through February 10, while supplies last, so that there is even more time to celebrate pizza and pancake goodness.

According to the brands, the Pancizzas come in three flavors, Original Buttermilk, Bacon and Cheddar and Cupcake. While not exactly pizza flavors, these special new foods sound like a delicious way to change up both the pizza and pancake game.

The most satisfying of these flavors has to be the bacon and cheddar. A savory pizza pancake could be enjoyed at breakfast, lunch or dinner. There should be a nice balance between the salty, savory flavors with a slight sweetness from the pancake and syrup. The only question remaining would be to drink coffee or milk with the Pancizza.

While all the flavors sound yummy, the cupcake flavor could be the most controversial. Although many people like sweet, this flavor could be more of a dessert option that a meal. Then again, isn’t a muffin just a cupcake without icing?

Creating this fun new IHOP food in honor of National Pizza Day showcases that pizza isn’t just dough, red sauce and cheese. Pizza can be, and is, a vehicle for all types of flavors. Sweet, savory and breakfast are all delicious options.

Of course, it would be wonderful for this IHOP offering to be available throughout the nation. If you don’t live in one of the special delivery areas, maybe you could borrow the IHOP idea for your own National Pizza Day celebration.
