Have you see the new Dunkin’ breakfast bowls? These newest menu items coming to the popular restaurant chain are in direct response to consumers’ wants. After a successful launch of Dunkin’s Power Breakfast Sandwich, these two new menu items look to capitalize on better for you menu choices.
Launching at participating locations, the new two Dunkin’ bowls are Egg White Bowl and Sausage Scramble Bowl. While there are similarities to these bowls, each one has a different slant.
For the health conscious consumer, the Egg White Bowl is a great choice. With no bread, this bowl packs a huge protein punch. Filled with “egg whites, spinach, roasted potatoes, cheddar cheese and caramelized onions,” this menu item is filling without over indulgent.

At just 250 calories and 14 grams of protein, the bowl should be quite filling. The choice of caramelized onions should add a touch of sweetness to balance the stronger flavors from the spinach. It is curious that there isn’t a crunchy ingredient to add a bit of texture to the bowl.
The other bowl, the Sausage Scramble Bowl, is quite hearty. At 450 calories and 21 grams of protein, it is a substantial meal. This bowl contains “scrambled eggs, sausage, melted cheddar jack cheese, peppers and onions.” It is smart that cheddar jack cheese is used. That flavor should nicely compliment the sausage.
Since the Power Breakfast Sandwich was so well received, guests can also order this item. The veggie white omelet is paired with American cheese and turkey sausage. It is served on a multigrain sandwich bread. At 370 calories, the sandwich is a nice middle ground between the two bowl options.
Overall, consumers are demanding healthier yet satisfying menu options. Dunkin’s commitment to expanding its menu shows that it is growing beyond coffee and donuts. From a breakfast grab and go to an all-day meal, any time is a good time to run to Dunkin’.
