Spring Baking Championship is ready to see the world through rose colored glasses. In this week’s episode, the bakers might be tickled pink.

Is it rose all day on Spring Baking Championship? As the season approaches the end, this week’s episode has a lovely pink hue. From mini desserts to a perfectly pink party, these bakers better make sure that they are color coordinated.

According to the Food Network, this week’s episode, “Pretty in Pink” features:

"Pink is the color of spring, and rose is the perfect party wine, so the four remaining bakers are charged with making mini desserts featuring rose and cheese. Then it’s off to the races in the spirit of the Kentucky Derby as the bakers make all-pink party desserts using pink ingredients."

For the pre-heat challenge, mini desserts featuring rose and cheese may prove to be quite difficult. While rose is perfection with almost anything, finding the balance between savory and sweet will be key.

Although these bakers should be able to handle this pre-heat, Karina might struggle. Since the other bakers have restaurant backgrounds, this challenge might be easier for them. Still, anything can happen on Spring Baking Championship.

Thinking about the main heat, this challenge would have been great for Tracy, since she only made pink desserts. Finding the right color combination will take a deft hand. While pink is pretty, the wrong pink can look garish.

Also, the comment about only pink ingredients is quite curious. Does that mean there’s no flour in these desserts or eggs? While it seems unlikely that this scenario would happen, pink ingredients can limit the flavor profiles for these cakes.
